La Crosse County residents should expect to see a survey come in the mail soon.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – La Crosse County residents should expect to see a survey come in the mail soon.
The survey from La Crosse County is looking to get insight on the cost and quality of the internet service in the county.
They want to use the results to help ensure that all areas of the county have reliable access.
Sam Bachmeier, one of the people in charge of the survey and analyzing the results said it is part of a plan in development for the entire state.
“They’ve tasked the individual counties with trying to gather some of that information…coming up with a game plan on how you’re going to help all of your residents in your county be served,” said Bachmeier.
More than one billion dollars in federal funding is being distributed in the state through the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program.
The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, October 6.
If you have any questions regarding filling out the survey, you can call La Crosse County at 608-785-5792.
